Kathrin Renz Bio
Kathrin Renz leads the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Industries business, including Strategic Partnerships, Strategic Industries (Financial Services, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Energy, Automotive, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, Media & Entertainment, Sports), and AWS Business Development. Passionate about digital transformation, Renz helps global Enterprise customers adopt cloud-based technology quickly, efficiently, and sustainably.
With an extensive engineering background, Renz has over 20 years of international management experience, having held technical and business leadership roles within companies like Nokia and Siemens. Prior to joining AWS in 2020, she was President of Nokia Enterprise, responsible for managing the company’s fastest growing business that provides Enterprise Networks and Industrial Automation solutions to customers across industries in BigTech, Energy, Transportation, Manufacturing and Public Sector. She was also Chief Strategy Officer of Nokia, where she led its corporate and business development efforts, including Nokia’s 15.6 billion Euro acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent.
Renz has received many honors over the years, including being named on the FierceWireless Women to Watch list and one of the Global Telecoms Business 50 Most Powerful Women and 50 Top Tech Leaders.
Renz earned a Computer Science diploma from the University of Cooperative Education, Germany, and a BA in Business Administration from The Open University London.
